Major crash injures two in Shreveport

Shreveport fire and police crews are on the scene of an accident in the 6900 block of Buncombe Road.

Authorities say a saltwater truck was heading south and a Toyota Corolla was northbound when the vehicles clipped each other.

The driver of the Corolla was taken to a local hospital.  Her injuries are unknown at this time.  An infant in her vehicle, safely strapped in a car seat, was not injured.  Firefighters used the jaws of life to rescue the driver of the big rig.

Meanwhile the 6900 block of Buncombe Road remains closed while crews clean up the wreckage.  The investigation into the crash continues.
