A Webster Parish woman, already accused of leaving her small children home alone, found herself facing even more charges after allegedly losing her temper at the jail and kicking a deputy and a wall.

Tiffany Brown, 24, faces charges of child desertion, disturbing the peace and property damage.

Sheriff's deputies said Brown left her children -- a 2-year-old and a two-month-old -- home alone in the middle of the night on Monday. Brown was picked up walking down Highway 532 northeast of Minden. She was five miles from her house, deputies said. Her children were found home alone but safe.

Deputies said Brown was being questioned about what happened when she went on a tirade.

A deputy and a wall were kicked.

"You could hear the banging all over the bottom floor of the courthouse when she was kicking the wall and screaming and cursing at the same time," sheriff's Deputy Claude Reeves said. "She looked at me and said, 'You old bald-headed fellow; you need to retire. You already got one foot in the grave.'"

Sheriff Gary Sexton said he will ask a judge to make Brown pay for the damage to the wall.

"I think all of them got a few choice words of why she felt about law enforcement," Sexton said.

Brown was still in the Webster Parish Jail this afternoon.
