Man arrested after a 2 hour stand off.  At 4:50 pm authorities in Bossier Parish confirmed at 2612 Southcrest Drive, in the Dogwood neighborhood, a standoff with Joseph Drozd, a 59 year old man. A call came into the Sheriff's office from a family member stating Joseph had called telling them he was going to take his own life. The man went into his house and turned on the gas. The street was blocked off and residents in the neighborhood were evacuated from their homes for safety precautions. The gas was turned off at 6:30 pm. The man came out of his house into his back yard, where he was arrested by the police. While being arrested, the man bit a police officer. Joseph Drozd, has been charged with terrorizing and aggravated battery.  KTBS has Eric James covering the story….stay tuned for further details.
