A shooting in Shreveport leaves one man dead and a his killer on the loose.
It happened in the Martin Luther King neighborhood at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Police tell us the Lonzell Armstrong, 47, was shot at convenient store in the 1900 block of David Raines Road. While he was in his truck, the Armstrong was shot several times in the upper torso. After being shot, the Armstrong drove himself to the 2900 block of Nena.
Witnesses tell us they believe he was trying to get to his mothers house. Armstrong died in his car on the side of the road. Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn said, "The detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses and talking to as many people as we can to try to piece this back together so that we can determine what exactly took place out here."
There are rumors that there is a second victim, but police say they've checked with local hospitals to see if any other gunshot victims have come in and there are none.
