Authorities are searching for the suspect who shot a man in west Shreveport last night.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. on July 4, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the emergency room at LSUHSC in the 1500 block of Kings Highway relative to a male patient there who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers contacted medical personnel who reported 21-year-old Jarvis Moore, who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the buttocks, had been dropped off at the emergency room by someone in a private vehicle. Moore is expected to recover from his injuries.
Moore told detectives he was walking in the 2500 block of Regent Street when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been shot. Moore said he did not see who fired the shots or where the shots came from but he was able to give investigators the name of a potential suspect and they are following up on that lead at this hour.
