MANSFIELD, La. -

It started out as a tiny crack, but residents of Bernard Street in Mansfield, say it's grown into a massive road hazard.

Residents tells KTBS the crack in the pavement grew after a storm blew in and flooded the creek near the road.

The say workers came out and put up a road sign, but residents say, so far that's about all the action they've seen from the city.

People we talked to today, say city leaders told them the problem would be fixed before school started.

"At no time did we give them a time frame on when the road would be fixed. It is not a quick fix, but we will get to it by the end of the year." said City Spokesperson Eboni Parker.
