A judge has ordered a mental evaluation for a man accused of impersonating a police officer and pulling over women in the Texarkana area.
Judge Ralph Burgess granted a request Monday from Jeremi Matthew Blake's defense attorney for the mental examination. Blake faces two counts of impersonating a police officer in Bowie County.
He remains jailed on $2 million bail.
The Texarkana Gazette reports that Blake's attorney, Derric McFarland, says the evaluation is necessary because Blake had suffered a previous head injury.
Blake also faces charges of kidnapping, sexual assault and impersonating a police officer in Miller County, Ark. There, authorities claim that Blake used a flashing blue light to pull over a woman before allegedly sexually assaulting her.
