Mission collects Christmas gifts for homeless
Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission's Project Mission Tree
The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission is also asking for help with their Project Mission Tree. The project's main goal is to get gifts for the shelter's men residents, who would normally go without. The women and children residents usually always receive gifts. Gifts are to be under $30. The men give three ideas of what they would like or need.
"It just brings a lot of joy to them," mission spokesperson said. "The homeless can't collect a lot of goods. So, the things that they do have and what they want or need are very special to them."
If you'd like to help, you can pick a card from their tree at 901 McNeil or call 318-227-2868.
