Have a sudden infusion of cash in your checking account? Those long-promised tax rebates are now on their way to taxpayers.

Paper checks will start going out May 9th, a week earlier than previously announced.

The economic stimulus package is intended to help you cope with rising gasoline and food prices, as well as the slumping economy.

The money will come just in time, because today, oil prices hit an all-time high near $120 dollars a barrel.

This after a weekend refinery strike closed a pipe-line system that delivers a third of Britain's North Sea oil to refineries in the United Kingdom and you know what that means at the pump.

Few things are forever, but the price for the postal service's forever stamp is. And with the latest postal rate increase less than two weeks away, Americans are buying 30 million forever stamps a day.

The cost of sending a first-class letter will rise a penny to 42-cents May 12th, but the forever stamps will remain valid for full postage after the hike.
