He's trading his football pads for a drawing pen. Well sort a. David Anderson has played the last eight years in the National Football League. For about five days he's been job shadowing at Moonbot Studios.
The eight year NFL wide receiver is receiving some animation tips from Academy Award winning studio. He says playing football is his job and drawing is a hobby he likes to do. "I tend to draw all over my notebooks in football. I've developed a system of drawing the o-lineman as I perceive them as animals," says Anderson.
He says he likes the team building concept at Moonbot. It's similar to playing football.
"It's a matter of combining efforts and getting like minds together and thinking of some creative ideas and that's exactly what this place does".
When given the chance to hold the award for film's highest achievement he compared it to winning another coveted trophy. "Ii can only imagine winning an academy award that's gotta be like the ultimate, it's gotta be a superbowl type win." Anderson has spent his last season with the Washington Redskins and his internship here in Shreveport will end Friday. Anderson's currently a free agent waiting to be picked up by another team. He says after football this maybe his plan B.
