Music, art, dance, Red River Revel has it all
North Louisiana's biggest outdoor arts and music festival is in full swing. The 37th Annual Red River Revel had a busy first night. Even with Saturday's cold temperatures, hundreds of people showed for the reveling. Those people will have quite and impact on the area. Revelers are expected to create an economic impact greater than $10 million for the area. Vendors stationed around Festival Plaza will make gains, as well. Artist Martin Benoit says the revel is great advertising for him and others.
"I've got a nice following over the years," he said. "People come see me regularly. They want to see what's new that's coming out."
The revel will last until next Saturday with around 200,000 revelers expected to attend.
