A local organization is making sure you don't have an excuse for not voting. The Shreveport NAACP gave rides today to early voters who didn't have transport. Lifts to local polling precincts were free of charge. The NAACP says they'll pick anybody up who needs a ride. Political party doesn't matter.

"Well, this is our 2nd year of doing it," NAACP Pres. Lloyd Thompson said. "We know how important this election is. We know how important it is that folks voice are being heard. So, we're providing this free service to the folks in Shreveport to make sure they have no excuse not to go and vote."

The NAACP will give rides on election day as well. Just call their offices at 318-828-1905 to get a ride.
