The Shreveport Police Department is releasing the names of two police officers involved in a fatal shooting that occurred this morning in north Caddo Parish.

In accordance with departmental policy, Shreveport Police Corporals Daniel Denby, hired by the department in February of 2000, and Michael Welch, hired by the department in March of 2005, were placed on paid administrative leave this afternoon by Chief of Police Willie Shaw.
