New developments mean more jobs are coming to the city of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Nearly 40 acres of the Crossroads Business Park is either open with new businesses or under construction.

The Texarkana Convention Center and the Holiday Spring Water Park are two of the biggest projects.

City officials say nearly $40 million dollars have been invested in just those two projects.

"We're very fortunate that we have a great group of investors that are going to bring that to the table for us, we're looking at the water park itself roughly up to 100 jobs, said Kenny Haskin, Assistant to Economic Growth.

City officals say the water park jobs will include, security, ticket agents, lifeguards, maintenance crews and food handlers.

The Holiday Springs Water Park and the Texarkana Hotel & Convention Center are expected to open next Spring.
