New technology helps cancer patients survive and thrive

Over 1, 440,000 new cancer cases will be found this year, with over 565,000 deaths in 2008 alone.

But thanks to cancer research,technology has been developed which is helping to save more lives.

Even patients, whose cancer has spread to other organs, are living more fulfilling lives because of medical breakthroughs.

Some of the technology making lives easier for cancer patients includes radiation technology called stereo-tactic body radiosurgery.. and radio frequency ablation.
