Firefighters have contained a blaze that burned about 115 acres in southwestern Arkansas and crews were working to control other blazes in the state.
Hot Spring County deputy emergency management director Robin Halbert says Arkansas Forestry Commission crews and local departments had a blaze near Arkansas Highway 84 under control by early Sunday night. It burned about 115 acres near Social Hill.
No injuries were reported.
Halbert says crews protected recreational vehicles at a campsite, but the fire mostly burned in uninhabited timberland.
Record heat and a drought have made the state susceptible to wildfires. Burn bans are in effect in 70 of 75 counties.
Forestry Commission spokeswoman Sheila Doughty single-engine air tankers helped fight the Hot Spring County blaze and were dispatched to fires in Clark and Benton counties.
