Customers of the Leigh Water Supply Corporation never knew what the water supply was going to do.

They constantly dealt with insufficient supply, and small and outdated broken water lines.

"It was losing something like over 6 million gallons of water out of the Marshall bank, about 4 million down here.  That's 10 million gallons we were losing, " said Buddy Power, water system manager.

The Leigh Water supply board, plus local and state leaders, worked together to find more than $8 million dollars in funding to upgrade the lines, add new lines and new equipment.

The equipment includes a meter reading system where employees can be within a three mile radius of a home and can check the usage and see if there are any leaks.
