"Oprah's Big Give: Arklatex" was created in conjunction with ABC's reality show "Oprah's Big Give." KTBS 3 and the Eldorado Resort Casino teamed up to help a local charity or group give big in the community.

Out of nearly 200 viewer nominated groups, Northwest Area Special Olympics was among five finalists chosen. The other groups were: Bikers Against Child Abuse, CLASS ACT Community Center, Drop It Like It's Hot and Step-Up, Inc. 

But the other four groups did not walk away empty handed. The Eldorado Casino Resort decided to donate and extra $6,000 to the Northwest Area Special Olympics and $1,500 to each of the other four finalists.
