Nursing students get hands-on experience without the risk

Local nursing students get a dose of reality in their studies.

East Texas Medical Center has partnered with Panola College to provide two simulation labs for students in an unoccupied area at its' Carthage hospital.

The school hopes to raise funds through grants or gifts to purchase a high-tech interactive mannequin.

Students will begin using the labs in June.
