One class at a time

Bobby Estes- Akin has a passion for reading.  And says,  "I love working in the library, in the fact that I get to work with students every day and I can get them excited about reading."

From the sound of a book cracking open to the vivid images words conjure up in a child's mind, Estes- Akin wants students at Natchitoches Magent to know the power of reading.

"I think that some students get into reading a series and that is all they want to read but it's persistence."

Which is why she applied for the KTBS 3 News "One Class at a Time Grant." She plans to buy new books as well as prizes for students as part of a reading competition between different grade levels.
