Thirty-one people have been arrested as part of a month-long sting operation by Caddo-Shreveport's narcotics unit.

It was conducted as part of an effort called Operation Closed Market, in which undercover agents bought drugs. Police began rounding suspects up this past weekend.

Police said 25 people were arrested on felony charges and six for misdemeanors. Agents seized one ounce of cocaine, 35 ounces of marijuana, seven guns and $7,734.00 in cash, police said.

Ed Walsh talked with Shreveport Police and Caddo Sheriff representatives about the goals of the operation.
