Halloween is still some time away, but a group spent today preparing treat bags for troops overseas. The local boosters of Operation Support Our Troops packed boxes of Halloween sweets and other goods for soldiers fighting in remote parts of Afghanistan. Boosters say the care boxes cheers soldiers up, and they urge you participate.

"Even that we've done troop draw downs, we still have thousands of troops that are really in the remote areas," Shirley Oliveri-Mathies. "They green zones have kind of smaller and all, but we really need to continue to support our men and women that are over there."
