The Oscar Experience Shreveport is about to get underway downtown at the Robinson Film Center.

Local celebs will walk the red carpet before settling in for a star-studded live broadcast from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Tonight's event at RFC is a sold out fundraiser for the theater.

Live coverage of the Oscar Experience Shreveport started at 5:30pm, followed by pre-Oscar coverage from L.A. at 6pm.

The 85th Academy awards begin at 7pm and there will be a special Jimmy Kimmel Live post-Oscar show tonight following your late local news on KTBS 3.
