A man sworn-in to office at the start of the year to protect and serve finds himself behind bars this morning.
The Panola County Sheriff's office says Ron Clinton was arrested by the Texas Rangers on Thursday.
They tell us the arrest stems from an investigation by two outside agencies.
Detailed information about the arrest hasn't been released to their office.
They want to make sure the citizens of Panola know that operations with the Sheriff's Office are still functioning and that their top priority is the protection of it's citizens.
