Minden Police are looking for a man. He's not in trouble; officers are trying to determine whether he is alive.

Darryll Wright, 35, of Fairview Street in Minden, is being called a "person of interest." Wright has not been seen since he ran from Louisiana State Police during a traffic stop several weeks ago. Minden Police Chief TC Bloxom says a trooper pulled Wright over three to four weeks ago on a Saturday. Two passengers were also in the car. When the trooper turned and walked back to the cruiser, Wright ran from the car, toward the area where the body parts would later be found (a Mile Creek ditch). Bloxom says State Police did not find Wright that night, and he hasn't been seen since, nor has he been reported missing.

Forensic pathologists in Little Rock, AR, will conduct a DNA test to see if the bones pulled from the ditch match samples taken from Wright's residence with the cooperation of his family. Recent test results indicate the age and height of the man to which the body parts belonged are similar to Wright (about 200 pounds and 6 feet tall). No evidence of trauma has been found on the bones. As of Friday afternoon, officials still did not have enough evidence to determine a cause of death.

Bloxom says no one has been reported missing in Minden, so Darryll Wright is the only lead they have found so far that could help them identify the body.
