Positioning child safety seats in the center back seat could cut an infants and toddlers injury risks by nearly half.

A study children younger than three were less likely to be injured when their seat is fastened in the center of the back seat rather than a side seat.

Experts already recommend this but say many parents still fail to do it.

Part of the problem is it's physically harder to put a child, especially a heavier child, in a center seat and it's also harder for peopel to sit in the back of the car.
