New information about the man arrested for last week's triple murder in Bossier City. KTBS/KPXJ has learned Robert McCoy called a woman in Claiborne Parish the night of the killings and told her he had "just killed a bum." He reportedly wanted to go to Claiborne, but she said no. She called Claiborne authorities who immediately contacted Bossier police. McCoy has waived extradition and will return to the Arklatex to face first degree murder charges. McCoy was captured Friday night in Lewiston, Idaho after hitchhiking his way across the country. Police say McCoy killed his estranged wife's parents and her teenage son. Police say McCoy had a gun on him when they caught him, but they say, he gave up without a fight. They think that gun may also be the one used in the homicides.
