A Promise Of Hope - Easter
BOSSIER CITY, La. -

Terry Perdue has been living a mother's nightmare. In 2006, her 16-year-old daughter Emily was killed on Interstate 49, along with two of her best friends, 15-year-old Molly Reed and 16-year-old Katy Watkins.

Megan Atwood was driving the car that October night on the way to a football game in Natchitoches.

"I grew up in a Christian family and we were always told about Easter but I didn't really understand it until I realized I'm God's miracle. He was with me the night that 3 of my best friends died. He was holding me in his arms and saved me that night. I know he took my 3 best friends home with him and each day. He is there for me. He's holding me and he's up in heaven with them as they watch me go through what I'm going through. It's just very uplifting to know that Easter really happened and my savior is watching over me each and every day," Megan recalled.

"If I thought this was the end for Emily it would be devastating for me but knowing this is temporary and that our permanent home is in heaven and he has prepared that for all of us that ask him into our life. I know with Emily, Katy and Molly are enjoying every moment of heaven and I know two words were spoken to them as soon as they were there, 'well done, well done girls'. And for that I have hope and I know I'm going to see her again," Terry Perdue said.

"If Jesus is alive, and he is God, then he is the most powerful figure of human history. Everything he said is true and everything he said revolved around him having a relationship with you. And thirdly, you could not logically turn away an opportunity to get to know that wonderful loving all powerful resurrected Lord. If he is there, then surely we have got to get to know him. And if he is available to all of us, just by asking him we can ask him to have a relationship with us, then why wouldn't we do that," said Rev. Denny Duron.

Because of what happened on this day, there is never a reason to give up. There is always hope with a 'Promise of Hope.'
