The month of November is National Adoption Month.

The Shreveport Regional Office of the Department of Children and Family services hosted a reception today to acknowledge adoptive and prospective adoptive families at the Airline Drive Church of Christ.

They not only had officials speaking about adoption opportunities but also testimonials from parents and kids from adoption families.

It was all to raise awareness for the need for foster and adoptive families.

Currently, there is a special need for adoptive and foster parents for older children, teens, and siblings.
