Cancer accounts for one in four deaths and is the second leading cause of death behind heart disease. But with the help of donations, researchers could one day find a way to stop cancer and save more lives. That's why the American Cancer Society holds its annual Relay For Life.

Every year area teams walk or run all night long with the hopes of raising money for cancer research, education and treatment

People from all walks of life showed up in Caddo and Bossier parishes Friday night to participate in the event. The Caddo relay was held at Lee Hedges Stadium. The Bossier relay was held at Airline High School. Survivors, along with their friends and families came together in support of one another and shared their stories.
