For several hours late last night search and rescue crews from both sides of the Red River searched for a man witnesses say fell into the water from a train trestle between Shreveport and Bossier City. Caddo Parish Deputy Donna Jackson says it isn't clear if he was hit by the train or not. Crews spent most of the day searching with Shreveport Fire using its search and rescue canine on the river, while Bossier City Fire utilized its canine on the banks. Sonar was also used by Caddo and Bossier Sheriff's Offices to locate any underwater objects. And even with dogs and sonar authorties had no luck in locating the person. Caddo parish investigators say they will continue their search by dragging the river tomorrow. They are treating this as a pedistrian hit by a train and a drowning. And despite early reports, they believe they are searching for only one person.
