Two teenage lovebirds who ran away from Nebraska were found in Bossier Parish today when a state trooper pulled them over for speeding.

The 15-year-old girl -- who authorities say had convinced her 15-year-old boyfriend to leave with her -- was put on an airplane this afternoon to go to her brother's home in Virginia. That was her original destination, State Police said.

The boy's parents were headed here this afternoon to bring him home.

State Police Trooper Doug Pierrelee said the couple were in the boy's mother's car when they were stopped for speeding on Interstate 20.

It turned out the pair had left Nebraska two days ago. The girl left a note saying she was unhappy at home, Pierrelee said.

The girl told authorities she threw her cell phone away so her parents couldn't track their whereabouts.

Pierrelee said the teens told several people they met along their journey that they were runaways. Some of those people gave them money, Pierrelee said, but no one apparently called the police to report two runaways.

The teens' names were not made public because they are juveniles.
