A local man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound and the shooter is still on the loose.

It happened in the 1600 block of Vivian Street in Shreveport around 11:30 last night.

Police say 20-year-old Andre Pennywell was at a party at the home when several shots were fired and Pennwell was hit in the lower extremities.

He was taken to LSU Health Shreveport with minor injuries.

Detectives are still seaching the gunman.
