Many, La. -

It's been a month since local, state and federal authorities arrested nearly sixty suspected drug dealers in Sabine parish.

Operation: Crystal Meth was very successful, but there was no time to celebrate.  There never is when it comes to fighting the war on drugs.

"It's just like dipping water out of a bucket.  More water runs in its place," said Sheriff Ronny Richardson.

Richardson says before agents had even finished last month's roundup, which was a year in the making, they were already busy making new cases.

The sheriff says meth and prescription pills appear to be the drugs of choice on the streets.

"It's affected so many good families.  I don't know what the cause is," said Richardson.

Richardson says he'd like to initiate some type educational program for the youth to keep them from trying meth and crack.

"You try it a couple of times and you're hooked," said Richardson.

Authorities say it'd be great if they never conducted another roundup in Sabine parish again, but with agents already hard at work on new cases, that won't happen any time soon.
