Safety Town got it's first visitors today.

Students from Shreveport Christian Academy were the first to check it out.

The program is designed to take the curriculm students learn in school and apply it to the town.

"We know that when the children come out here, they are demonstrating for us what they have already learned in the classroom, but it helps us to fine tune the best approach to doing that," said Richard Corbett, Safety Town sergeant.

Safety Town will begin taking Caddo public school students next month.
