School bus gets police escort following brawl

SHREVEPORT, La. -

A fight at a school bus stop in Shreveport yesterday is still being investigated. Meanwhile, there were precautions in place today to make sure that didn't happen.

Yesterday's fight happened at a bus stop on Werner Avenue, just off North Hearne.

Today, there was a police escort for the bus, which transports Fair Park High School students.

Parents say the activity on the bus has been getting out of control for weeks now, and they're glad something is finally being done.


"We do appreciate the efforts, though. We appreciate the principal, the police escort. Like I said, we just want to know how far it's going to go," said Sherrod Barnes.

Caddo Parish School officials would not go on camera about yesterday's incident. But a spokesman did say that the incident is under investigation.
