Search firms looked for next Caddo superintendent
Finding Caddo Schools' next superintendent could cost as much as $26,000 plus expenses. That's according to proposals reviewed by The Times (http://bit.ly/Zd9e7W).
Three national head-hunting firms submitted proposals to the Caddo Parish School Board vying for the chance to replace Superintendent Gerald Dawkins, who will leave in August.
In the running is BWP and Associates, of Libertyville, Ill. The firm's bid was $24,000.
PROACT consultants submitted a proposal for $23,000.
The bid of Omaha, Neb.-based McPherson and Jacobson came in at $26,500.
None of the bids included other expenses including travel and advertising.
Board President Larry Ramsey said members could vote as early as Thursday whether to pursue a search firm or use district employees to find the next superintendent.
