Keeping the City Safe
You see them here or you see them there, and for the Super Gras festivities they're everywhere; uniformed police officer in full force enforcing public safety. Colonel Mike Edmonston with the Louisiana State Police has employed the services of 238 hundred troopers from across the state to help with patrols in New Orleans. He says this is an all out effort to deter crime. Sergeant Chad Finn of Troop "G" says the job is easy here in the big easy, they just have to do it. Colonel Edmonson says after the Super Bowl 140 troopers will stay behind to help with the rest of Mardi Gras, he says this is all about partnerships to make the city look good and to keep people safe
