Shreveport Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

Shreveport authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a local man accused of robbing another man at gunpoint in Shreveport’s Caddo Heights neighborhood late last month.

At 2:44 p.m. on January 26, 2013, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported robbery that allegedly occurred at a home in the 1700 block of Alma Street. An adult male victim who told officers that two suspects, one of which was allegedly armed with a handgun, robbed him during an agreed upon sale of a cellular phone. The one suspect that was allegedly armed with the gun, reportedly made the victim hand over the cell phone he held for sale, along with other personal items. After stealing the victim's phone, the suspect, while keeping the gun pointed at the victim, ordered him to leave.

Based on information gathered during their ongoing investigation, detectives were able to name 17 year old Dennis Small of Shreveport as a suspect in the crime and on last Friday, February 1, 2013, issued a warrant for his arrest. Small is being charged with one count of armed robbery. His bond has been set at $75,000.
