The Shreveport Symphony has a message, don't let the music stop. The group is planning an alternative concert Saturday night at First Baptist Church on Ockley. They spent Thursday afternoon practicing. "This is alternative of course. It reflects the fact that orchestra players are on strike right now. We of course do not wan't the music to stop. We thought this would be an opportunity for us to show the community that we want to provide music in the community and do a very positive thing in the community amongst a negative atmosphere," Rick Rowell, musicians' spokesperson. The concert benefits both the musicians and the Red Cross for hurricane relief. It's Saturday night at 7:30 at First Baptist Church. You can get tickets at the door. They are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
