It's now safe to drink the water in a Shreveport neighborhood. A voluntary boil advisory for parts of the Highland neighborhood has been lifted.

The advisory was issued Tuesday, while city crews worked to repair a break to a water main. The affected areas included: State Building 1525 Fairfield, Circle K 1417 Fairfield, as well as the 800 & 900 blocks of Jordan Street which encompasses St. John Berchmans Church/School and First Presbyterian Church/Daycare.

At no time was service interrupted.
