A man was is recovering in the hospital after a rescue attempt that saved his brother's life. A fire broke out at a home on the 3400 Red Bud Lane a little after 5 Sunday afternoon. It started at the exterior of a carport when one of the occupants was doing some mechanical work. A 34-year-old male sustained lacerations to his arm as he rescued his brother from the fire. He was transported to LSU-Shreveport with non-life threatening injuries.
