Three City of Shreveport employees nominated by their peers or supervisors for outstanding leadership, customer service and teamwork have been honored for 2012.

The Spirit of the City awards were part of an appreciation banquet December 18 for employees with 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of experience with the City. The combined experience of all those honored exceeds 2,450 years.

The Spirit winners are:

Shannon Powell, Traffic Engineering, for Team Player

Angela Duncan, Finance, for Leadership

Shalon Lewis, SPAR, for Customer Service
