After a more than six hour standoff, a man is taken into custody in Texarkana, Texas.

Tijuan Moore, 36, of Texarkana, Arkansas was arrested just after 11 o'clock Tuesday night in the 1500 block of West 10th street.

Police say someone called 911 Tuesday afternoon and reported that Moore had pointed a gun at them.

When officers arrived, they say Moore ran into a vacant home and barricaded himself inside.

The police department received several 911 calls from a subject that stated that he was the person inside the residence, however, he would not identify himself.

After approximately two hours, all of the calls stopped. SWAT team negotiators attempted to talk to the suspect, but all attempts were unsuccessful.

During the next several hours, a chemical agent was introduced inside the home, but the suspect remained inside.

SWAT team members went inside the house just after 11:00 p.m. and found Moore hiding in a closet.

Moore was arrested and transport to the Bi-State Jail on a criminal trespassing charge. Other charges are pending.
