Starving Horses in Natchitoches Parish

There's new information coming out of Natchitoches Parish regarding a heartbreaking case of alleged animal cruelty. Pictures of horses that appear to be malnurished or too weak to walk and even skeletons have many residents upset. Donna Keen of "Remember Me  Rescue" horse farm in Burleson, Texas, took ariel photos showing the neglect many people claim has been going on for over a year. She disagrees with the positive picture the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's office is trying to portray. "I was told by some folks at the Louisiana Horse Rescue that it had been taken care of, that the owner was being compliant, had turned over some horses that they were in control of the situation," Keen said. She says she was denied an attempt to rescue forty of the horses off Ryder River Ridge, when she first heard of the situation the farm was facing.
