Shreveport State Representative Barbara Norton will hold a news conference today at 10 a.m. at the Mooretown Branch Shreve Memorial Library.

She'll be joined by members from area law enforcement agencies to discuss a bill she sponsored that makes it a crime for not reporting a missing or deceased child.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal recently signed her bill into law.
