All Louisiana state government offices were closed again today due to Hurricane Gustav.

Baton Rouge has widespread power outages as a result of the heavy blow Gustav delivered to the capital. That has affected computers that are connected to satellite offices.

Those closures include DMV offices around the state.

No decision has been made on when state offices will reopen.

Essential personnel, including state employees required to work due to the effects of the storm, have been told to report to work, the governor's office said.

In addition to the Department of Motor Vehicles office, the employment office is also closed.

Unemployment benefits that were supposed to be deposited into recipients' bank accounts this week weren't.

Internet service is down in Baton Rouge so citizens can't access state websites.

State officials said today they hope to make a decision friday on when state offices will reopen.
