Shreveport city councilman Sam Jenkins commends the efforts of the youth group "Code Red"; whose making an urgent call to stop violence in Shreveport. Member Jacolby Ashly decided to join after the prayer vigil of Robert Farmer; the Huntington High School student who died after being attacked in downtown Shreveport. Project coordinator Alicia Robinson says this is one way for young people in the area to take a stand against crime. Although Shreveport's crime rate is at a 35 year low; community leaders say more rallies like this are still needed; with the hopes of stopping another senseless crime.
