BOSSIER PARISH, La. -

Pretty soon the long wait at the DMV maybe over. The Commissioner of the Office of Motor Vehicles will visit all 82 offices statewide as part of a bid to improve efficiency.

Commissioner Stephen Campbell says they are working to reduce the wait time that an individual has to suffer through to satisfy the state's motor vehicle regulatory requirements. "We would love to get everybody  from the time they walk in open that door to go into that motor vehicle office to leave within a half an hour that is reasonable that is a goal of ours in as many offices as we can," Campbell said.

He says to make your trip to the office go a little bit smoother bring your id, a copy of your vehicle's insurance, and vehicle id or old registration receipt. He says don't forget to bring cash, they are not equipped to take credit or debit cards just yet. Also bring a book or magazine to read while waiting and a snack you, might be there a while. The best time to go is usually about mid morning say 10:30 or mid afternoon say 2:30 to 3.
