Student Artwork To Be Featured At Governor's Mansion
As a part of the Jindal family’s initiative to feature young artists, Louisiana’s First Lady Supriya Jindal announced Friday the artwork that was selected for display in the Louisiana’s Governor’s Mansion for the month of January.
Four of the twenty one pieces of art selected, came from students at schools in Shreveport - Bossier City.
First Lady Supriya Jindal said, “From photography to watercolors and all mediums in between, this month’s artwork features the diversity of Louisiana’s young artists. Using their own unique style, the pieces on display this month are sure to impress all who visit the Governor’s Mansion.”

This month, the First Lady asked principals from schools across Louisiana to submit works for display in the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion. In 2008, the Jindal family dedicated a wall of the mansion to children’s artwork. Every month a new group of art is displayed to pay tribute to Louisiana’s young artists.
